One of the most long-term projects of the company aimed at supplying Tower simulator with 360 degrees situational awareness visualization to Domodedovo ATC Centre is successfully completed.
Domodedovo Tower simulator is the second one in Russia realized with 360 degrees visualization. Tower module is performed in “3х3” configuration comprising 3 trainer workstations, 2 controller workstations and 1 supervisor workstation. 2 workstations meant to display supplementary data on air-traffic situation, FDP and weather data were additionally supplied to Tower ATCO in 2016.
EXPERT ATC Simulator Tower module enables ATC staff training providing imitation of various kinds of weather including instrument meteorological conditions (IMC), of any light conditions, special conditions and special events during flight.
In order to provide full conformance of the simulator equipment and functionality to those of the ATC system existing in the ATC centre the upgrade of software and aerodrome 3D model is scheduled for the nearest future by virtue of the fact that horizontal separation standards have been amended and Domodedovo aerodrome has been reconstructed over the 6 years of project implementation.
